What started as a modest 鶹ýӳ campus showcase has graduated into a city-wide celebration with the third annual 鶹ýӳ & Friends Market, which will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. April 30 on the Quad Lawn. Admission is free to the public.
The 鶹ýӳ & Friends Market is an evolving tradition that has grown from a small student initiative into a high-energy marketplace featuring more than 100 local makers, student entrepreneurs and alumni creators. Live music will be provided by DJ Heartwerk.
The event reflects the university’s commitment to experiential learning, entrepreneurship and community engagement with a diverse mix of local makers, artists, small businesses and food vendors from the greater Oklahoma City area. It gives 鶹ýӳ student entrepreneurs an opportunity to gain real-world business experience, from marketing and sales to customer engagement, all within a supportive campus environment.
“This event is more than a market,” said Ashley Palmer, event organizer and assistant director of Student Engagement. “It’s a celebration of creativity, collaboration and the entrepreneurial spirit that defines 鶹ýӳ. We are proud to provide a space where students and community members can connect, grow their businesses and support one another.”
The vision for the 鶹ýӳ & Friends Market is to highlight student leadership, strengthen university-community relationships and support small business development in Oklahoma City. The community is invited to shop local and experience 鶹ýӳ as a hub for creativity and connection.
鶹ýӳ is located at 2501 N. Blackwelder. For more information, please visit or contact Palmer via email at [email protected].
